I have 40 days to reflect and prepare my heart for Easter. For the crucifixion, for the resurrection. As Christ withdrew into the desert, I will use Lent to walk in my own.
I will unite myself with the mystery of Christ’s trials and temptations thst he faced. I will remind myself that the 40 days of Lent are like a journey through the desert of this life. As I remain faithful and follow Jesus, I too will enter into the true promised land of heaven on earth until I eventually enter in spirit.
Come Easter Sunday may I find myself renewed from the 40 days on my own journey just like the butterfly as it emerges from it’s chrysalis.
